The Journey Begins

“A long bow, and a strong bow, and let the sky grow dark.  The nock to the cord, the shaft to the ear, and the King of Koth for a mark!”–The Bossonian archers’ battle chant.

My fascination with archery goes back to the early 50’s when I watched Robin Hood with Richard Greene on a tiny black and white TV.  But I was never able to practice it properly until about five years ago.  And even then it was on and off, due to repeated spine surgeries.

So now I think I’m through with all that.  And I have a large fenced back yard and a couple of bows.  It’s time to see if I can bring out my inner Robin Hood.
